Presents from Santa!

Hello my crafty friends!

I hope all of you have enjoyed the holidays and are looking forward to 2018–A Great New Year!  I am a member of Kit & Clowder online coloring classes.  Alyce Keegan is the young lady who teaches the classes and she is amazing.  I have had some extra time over the holiday break to practice some coloring and have been using my Prismacolors colored pencils.  I have two small sets–giving me several duplicates but not all the colors.  Soooooo…I found the full set online at a great discount and they were mine! pencils

Here are a few images I have colored.  I am quite pleased with the results.  I never dreamed colored pencils would look sooo good.  I used to use only pencils to color but used gamsol so you could not see the pencil marks.  The techniques Alyce uses are similar to working with Copics–you build up color and they actually blend.

The penguin is on kraft paper and I love how the image pops out.  The snowman and penguins image was done on light blue paper.  At first I thought I had made a mistake because it is difficult to cover the paper with white pencil.  Once I finished, I like how it looks.  The whole scene is colored but I think only the white areas are affected by the paper color.

Another gift from Santa is an ink pad and re-inker holder.  I have wanted this for years and I finally got it!  Isn’t it amazing?  Stamp ‘n Storage is the company who makes it.  You need to check out their other items.  I want everything!Ink holderThe last cool thing I want to show you is a “lazy-susan” for coloring.  One of the three cropateers found it and I don’t know how I have lived without it.  I purchased it from HSN but I have seen it on Amazon and scrapbook.com.  It comes in two sizes…I have the smaller one at 9 X 12.  They have a bigger one at 12 X 12.  lazy susanWishing all of you a wonderful new year.  I have a feeling that 2018 is going to be a great year!

Craftiness is happiness!
